USC Enrolment, School's Back

Fresh from a grueling ARIS-ISIS transition that would mean hours(perhaps days) of facing the computer in the wee hours, I went to school yesterday to enroll. I learned that our ISIS days is a thing of the past as the touch-screen monitors placed beside the teller are mere debris of the short-lived system that was ISIS.

I had also known that the step(1st) in which we have to line up to pay our down payments is now the last step. But that doesn't mean that the first step does not involve lining up or having to pay for something. Our grades were part of the requirements and it was not free. We have to pay 10 pesos for each grade in a semester. I would have paid 40 for my grades starting from my freshman days but the grades from last semester that I found in the box made my payment 10 pesos less. I wouldn't have paid anything if only I had kept my marks. Lesson learned; always keep your grades because they won't give it for free the next time you ask for it.

Everything but the first and last step were easy(I'm still on the last step as of now). Enrollment sure is a tedious task but the challenge it brings is nothing compared to that of June 8 - start of classes. So, I would keep going.

Bye LeBron, So long Ivanovic, Chau Nadal, Hello School?

Now that school's coming, seeing LeBron-Kobe and Rafa-Roger in their respective finals matchup is not bad a consolation. But after LeBron's silent exit and Nadal's stunner, I realize nothing's certain in any sport.

Well, there is still Kobe and Roger. It's the Black Mamba's chance to win his 4th ring without sharing the credit to You-Know-Who(he's too big to be overlooked). And it's the Swiss Colossus' chance to win it now that his clay tormentor is ousted.

My hopes are high for the other two now that their rivals are out. It's still uncertain.
But that's what makes any sport fun to watch. You'll never know.
