This is the blog I submitted in pbfantasy's blogging section. It took me 2 grueling hours to complete the blog. Hope the people there would be more gentle.

It takes more than Magic to stop the King

The night after the LeShot, there was Kobe's clutch shot. And after Bryant's all-around game(22 points, 8 assists and 5 boards) that gave his Laker team a stranglehold against Denver leading 3-2, guess what this year's MVP did? He had 37 points - drawing comparisons to Jerry West, who after James' MVP award said LeBron is the best player today(yes Kobe, you heard it right). He also had 14 rebounds and 12 dimes in his 4th career playoff triple double(something LeBron brags in his commercial together with who else but Kobe) that saved them from a seemingly early exit after brilliant performances in the previous rounds.

In Cavs 112-102 Game 5 victory, it was obvious who the best actor was. And he saved his most dramatic acts in the final canto scoring 17 points(2 of which made Dwight Howard, this year's Defensive Player of the Year pick up his 6th foul with just under 3 minutes left in the game), threatening the self-procaimed Michael Jordan of Turkey(Hedo who had 29 points,6 rebounds and 2 assists) of his "Mr. Fourth Quarter" monicker.

Cavs victory should not only be credited to James' stellar play but also to his supporting cast(though the credit goes to James alone had they won their previous outings in Orlando). Williams had 24 points(tying his playoff-high) and Gibson gave a much-needed support from the bench with his 11(playoff-high). Gibson shot 3/4 from beyond the arc and was perfect in the charity stripe 2-2 - reminiscent of his 31-point explosion as a rookie way back in their 2007(yes, that's how long "Boobie" has been in a slumber) Eastern Conference Finals matchup with Detroit.

The pressure now is on the Magic as they get their second chance in putting an end to Cavs outstanding 66-win season and also an end to anyone's hope of a Kobe-LeBron showdown in June. Dwight Howard's magic works best in Amway as the Cavs are 0-2 there. In addition, only eight teams have won a series after suffering from a 3-1 deficit. The numbers are certainly against LeBron. Well except one, he's number 23(a number worn by You-Know-Who and that has its shares of greatness).

"We'll be number nine!", said LeBron when told by their slim chances of getting past the Magic. He sure is confident. And you can't blame him, "it takes more than magic to stop The King".

Pbfantasy Blogs...

It's been a while since my first post(4 months to be exact). But it didn't take that long for me to realize how hard it is to be a blogger(especially in Pbfantasy). Way harder than I imagined. I had circled the wagon against harsh comments and unwanted suggestions. The blogging section here is not for the faint of heart(kudos to those 14-year old kids who are not exempted to the flurry of negative comments in their works). Hours of thinking and polishing in what you thought was the "best blog ever" goes down the drain as you are rewarded with an amazing 1-star rate together with the "your-blog-is-trash" comment. Two words. So Filipino. Ever wonder who these losers are? Those who rate your blog with a 1(thank you very much) and comment things like; &*#&!@#$&* @&*(@$? These people are actually bloggers who don't appreciate articles other than the ones written by themselves. They think the only way they could look good(blogging-wise) is by making other blogger's work look bad. Still don't get it? Another two words. Crab mentality.

Well you can't please everybody(it's been their comforting comment after saying something bad about your work) but to hell with their profanities and below-the-belt assaults.

Yes, there is no way you could please loyal Ginebra fans after writing a bold prediction that a certain team(perhaps your favorite) will win against the highly-favored Gin Kings squad. There is no way James Yap fans will rate you with the highest star possible after submitting an article saying he's not MVP-material. But they could be at least less reactive and more reasonable.

The blogging section is a place where an exchange of ideas takes place. It is never a battle ground nor a place for competition.

I'm still clueless as to what would your response be after this blog is published. But I'm pretty sure of one thing, "it's hard to be a blogger".
